The Bass Loopman Project

Before I begin, I would like to thank you for your visit. If it’s your first time here, please subscribe to get the latest loops and creation. So let's begin, shall we. I'm a French-speaking bassist from Quebec and I compose music on a six-track Looper with
three four-string basses tuned to B, A and E. It must be noted that I don't have any professional music education, I just play by ear.
My music is influenced by
progressive and alternative rock bands. Lyric-wise, I often use the original words of these bands and try to emulate their style. Recently, I have been experimenting with artificial intelligence to write lyrics - these pieces are identified with 'AI' in their title. My creative approach is unique – I can go from looping to releasing a mix on Soundcloud in no more than
six hours. My music is generally jam-based and improvised, I use
SansAmp Tech21 preamps and Hugues and Kettner Ampman
for the 4-string bass and Roland Electronic Drums for the beats. There are no guitars used in my music, only bass.
The
Electro Harmonix 9500 performance loop laboratory is my preferred choice to compose and arrange my music
with three
Ibanez 4-string, Music Man style model 300 and 800. Feel free to leave a comment.

Film score

My first film score from Covey Hill, a short film by Maxim Lecompte. Some kind of horror movie with music in the fashion of John Carpenter. Scary!

Take a minute to listen…

This is my 2022 playlist. I played all the instruments and singed on all the songs and loops. The lyrics are from the original band or solo artist that inspired the creation.
A revisited version or something far out.
